Bomaderry & Nowra
Process Engineering Technologies (PET) contracted VacuBlast to wet abrasive blast or “slurry blast” 650m2 of various concrete surfaces throughout UGL’s Bomaderry and Nowra sewage sites to achieve a surface profile of CSP-3, in preparation for coating application.
With a variety of concrete structures located in different locations on both sites, it was a necessity VacuBlast achieved the desired concrete profile with minimal site disruption or plant shut down. Adopting our slurry blasting method, we ensured all other contractors could continue daily operations whilst we delivered the desired concrete finish whilst ensuring all abrasive materials were contained within our working radius and dispose of correctly.
In difficult weather conditions and multiple confined spaces, VacuBlast managed to persist and successfully deliver both UGL and PPT the required concrete profile and surface prepared for coating application.
Primary contractor Process Engineering Technologies praised the efficiency and effectiveness VacuBlast managed to complete the abrasive blasting process in, emphasising our superiority in comparison to similar companies.
